About Me.
I trained at the Harrow 2 years ceramics course and concentrated on stoneware which has continued to be my passion/medium. After leaving I was a resident potter at South Bank Craft Centre next to the Royal Festival Hall in London for two years. This was a great training as it was open to the public who watched one working so I honed my demonstration skills. From this an opportunity arose to work in Bogota, Colombia, for a local pottery. The brief was to introduce new designs of tableware and find a white glaze that would use local materials. Here I gathered material on pre-Columbian and contemporary forms and decoration. I moved up to Edinburgh 30 years ago where I set up a new workshop and sold work through trade fairs and the West End Craft Fair in Edinburgh. Children came along and disrupted making for years but now I have a workshop in the garden and I am enjoying making again! EXHIBITIONS
